#TBT | Congresswoman Yvette D. Clarke’s visit to NGW

Today’s #TBT features highlights from Congresswoman Yvette Clarke’s tour of ‘Explorations 3 – Seven Women Artists’ Exhibition at National Gallery West.

Congresswoman Yvette Clarke, who has Jamaican roots, visit was at the invitation of the then President of the Montego Bay Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Gloria Henry. She was invited to be the key-note speaker at the Montego Bay Chamber of Commerce and Industry’s (MBCCI) Annual Banquet at the Hilton Rose Hall Resort and Spa in Montego Bay in November 2015.

Clarke, who serves New York’s Ninth District (Brooklyn) and sits on the Energy and Commerce Committee, had discussions on energy, manufacturing, tourism and cyber crimes with various local stakeholders, took some time to visit National Gallery West at the Montego Bay Cultural Centre to take in a bit of the Jamaican culture during her stay.
